Community outreach

The Portland Community Chorus at the core is a “community” chorus. While the major focus each spring and fall is preparations for the December and May concerts, the PCC continues a strong community outreach program. The Outreach Chorus performs at area nursing, assisted-living and group homes throughout the greater Portland area. This long standing tradition of sharing our love of music with the well-deserving residents at these facilities brings smiles and tears of joy to so many, especially our own members. The PCC continues to look for funding to expand our Outreach program to visit more facilities each year.
The Outreach Choir has also performed at the U.S. Naturalization Ceremonies, Portland Sea Dogs, the Portland Christmas Tree Lighting, the Scarborough Christmas Tree Lighting, the Portland Country Club, Breakfast with Santa, and the L.L. Bean Northern Lights Celebration. |
